Every week we'll send out an email to keep you up to date with the latest goings on at Nite Owl Poker. And if you want to submit something of interest, send us an email and we'll post it if it strikes our fancy.

It's Marty Gras Time Again!
Come on out to the Holiday Inn this Tuesday for the Nite Owl's annual Marty Gras Party! Wear some festive beads or your fanciest hat for an instant chip up at the game.

Also the Original Nite Owl will be fully decked out and chirping away because it's a "Knock Out the Nite Owl" game. He'll pay your food tab if you knock him out in the first hour, or half your tab in the second hour. (No prize beyond 2 hours of if the Nite Owl reaches the final table.) This will also be a "Swarm Special" on Foursquare. The fun starts @ 7:30 PM. See you there!

Get Paris!
Double your chances to win a prize this Tuesday at the Holiday Inn: If you knock out Paris "The Best" McCray, you win a $20 gift certificate! No one seems able to knock him out. (The Nite Owl thinks he'll eventually be heads up with Paris on Tuesday.) Can you do it? (Wednesday at Firkin Tavern is also a "Get Paris" game.) So get Paris! Complete details at the game.

New Game Coming!
Starting March 13, Amarone's Windsor Inn will double down and add Tuesday nites to the Nite Owl poker schedule.

There's Finally Some Order at Firkin Tavern!
Hayward Vereen is our first mayor at Firkin Tavern. It's about Firkin' time! Also Thilo Agthe has regained the mayorship at Lawrence Grill, while Kid Klimansky remains mayor at Amarone's Windsor Inn and Toast Murisan still owns Sportsmen's Pub. Nice going!

What's all this talk of Mayorships and unlocking specials? Nite Owl Poker has joined Foursquare to create a special "check in" bonus at each of our venues! Here's how it works:


1. On your smartphone, download the Foursquare app.
2. Every time you play a Nite Owl Poker game (or go anywhere really), you can "check in" to let your friends know you're there!
3. When you unlock a Nite Owl Poker check-in "special", show it to the Tournament Director (your phone's screen will be orange) and get chipped up! Right now we have "Newbie" specials (for your first check-in) and "Mayor" specials, with more to come in the weeks ahead!

Every one of our venues now has a Nite Owl Poker location listed on Foursquare. Each is named "Nite Owl Poker @ [name of venue]". We've also created a Foursquare "badge" for each venue that you can access through a "tip" we've added on each venue's page.

(If you don't have a smartphone or the Foursquare app, we'll be making some of these features available on each venue's Nite Owl Facebook page in the near future.)
